Dear Friends:

In the wake of the September 11th attack on the World Trade Center, New York City has received an overwhelming outpouring of support from individuals across the country and around the world.

On behalf of our grateful City, I extend my most heartfelt thanks for your thoughtful and generous gift. The compassion of Americans and from people all over the world has been an invaluable source of hope and courage for many New Yorkers and is deeply appreciated.

Your gesture of giving and kindness illustrates our Nation’s strength and resilience during these difficult times. Thank you again for your support and friendship.
